The postcard, and why it matters
Don't let them open the postcard on Christmas morning. Keep it back.
When a child finds the wallet, the instinct is to want to give it back — and that's the whole point. Let them do the right thing for a day. Then post the postcard through your own front door the next morning. It's from Santa: he's already been given a replacement, and they may keep it.

When you scan the QR code on the license, it takes you to the 'Flying Sleigh License Agency' page. You'll see that Santa's license has been re-issued thousands of times (we're talking 18,000+!). The story you can share is that Santa is a bit forgetful and loses his wallet all the time on his practice runs. The elves are so good at making replacements that it's no problem at all! This makes every child's discovery a special and unique part of Santa's clumsy adventures.
This is a very important point, and we've designed the experience to reinforce good values. The magic doesn't end with finding the wallet. The next day, a postcard from Santa arrives. In it, Santa thanks your child for finding his wallet but explains that Papa Elf has already issued him a replacement. He gives your child special permission to keep the found wallet as a thank-you gift and a cherished keepsake. This completes the story by teaching about honesty and consent.
